Description
This is what I made for my art trade with
So, I totally didn’t make what I had been planning to make at all. I saw these cool Swarovski crystal squares and decided that I just had to make her something modern instead. And of course, I chose some hot pink bicone beads to include as well. I was worried that she wouldn’t like it since she tells me that she’s not that girly. But she assured me that she did and I have a picture of her modeling the set with a fabulous smile.
Just a note on the earrings – I made the four-lobed component with 22 gauge sterling silver wire using round-nosed pliers (I did not use a jig). It let me mimic the feel of the tassel-like part of the necklace without making it too bulky or too fussy.
If you were wondering about the title, the funny thing was that =kahl had developed a liking for squares after she and her husband *axlerod had visited the ~Winchester mystery house in San Jose, California. So it was a good coincidence that I chose the squares as the focal pieces.
Materials: Swarovski crystal beads and square components; sterling silver wire, chain, headpin, clasp, and earwire earring components
